Gallery Anita Beckers was established in 1998 along with an additional space dedicated solely to video art. Since the beginning, the gallery has continuously exhibited time-based media art.
One of the main focuses of the gallery has always been to show how the moving image has influenced contemporary art and art production. Through presenting and selling at international art fairs, the gallery has been able to positively influence many young artists’ careers.
In 2011, Anita Beckers co-founded the research platform BLINKVIDEO.DE with Julia Soekeland.
