C-prints, 1.90 x 115 cm size, mounted on aluminum

Artericambi Gallery present three works by Mariano Sardón and Mariano Sigman using an eye tracker device to generate complex images according the gazes of many people at the same time. During the process, original images were displayed in front of hundreds of people, and their eye movement looking at the images was recorded by an eye tracker device. By means of a software, a new image is developed by drawing the tracks of the eyes of all viewers. The resulting image shows where people looked for significant information and those parts of the original picture that were neglected. These works aim to make us conscious of those parts of an image (or the world) that we see and hence take into account, and those we neglect. The works are three digital printed images 1.90 x 1.15 m size approximately mounted on aluminum. An additional small screen will show a video, where the audience can see the very process for generating the exhibited pieces.
