The video triptych Study 1 presents three figures performing an asynchronous saltation whose slow motion reveals the successive states of figures’ metamorphosis. This proposal comes from an exploration of the shadow as an unpredictable lining of the body.
The method used consists of video capture of the sliding shadow on the moving body in contact with a translucent screen. The rebound of fabrics mixing their shadow with that of the body alters the human contours, generating these figures, as labile as they are insolent, at the risk of entanglement.
