Μαζί (pronounced Mazi) from the Greek “together,” is a tactile instrument that entices the audience to interact with its inviting texture and soft appearance. The soft dome holds five interactive felt bubbles, each of which produces a gentle tone when touched. The instrument was inspired by watching children play, and aims to stimulate active participation; create spontaneous, independent and collaborative play; and provide sensory regulation for children with autism.
