POSTCITY, Open Futurelab
What would a new kind of public viewing experience look like in the future? Using ground bots, drones and moving screens, Japanese telecommunications giant NTT and the Ars Electronica Futurelab investigate exactly this question in a joint research project.
Swarm Arena presents festival visitors at the Open Futurelab at POSTCITY Linz with first results, prototypes and developments which could enable a new kind of audience experience based on swarm intelligence, interactivity and robotic organisms. The floor and the air are united in a unique presentation to create a seamless canvas that impressively displays data visualizations, real-time transmissions, and 3D animations.
