Beside the development
of the ARS BOX, a main focus of our work lies on providing content
for projection based virtual environments. Following we present
a choice of projects realized by the Ars Electronica Futurelab within
this field. Some of them are artistic pieces, some are architectural
visualizations and some have been developed for the industrial sector.

Bouleuterion
von Milet
Visualization of an ancient temple.

CAVE von
Peter Kogler
The CAVE Project, realized within the artist and residence program
of the Ars Electronica Futurelab in collaboration with Peter Kogler,
seems to be a logical continuation of Kogler's confrontation with
architecture beyond space and style.

Face á
Face
The art piece has been realized in collaboration with Louis Fleri
and
Catherine Ikam within the artist and residence program of the Ars
Electronica Futurelab. A virtual animated face reacts on the movements
and spoken orders of the visitors.

Fronius
The application illustrates the usage of high-speed video technique
for research in the field of industrial welding. The application
has been shown by the company Fronius on different fares for promotion
purposes.

Gericom
Prototype of a design tool for tele-collaborative development in
the CAVE environment for the Austrian computer manufacturer Gericom.
|

Gesichtsraum
An art piece realized within the artist in residence program of
the Ars Electronica Futurelab. Based on the work of Johannes Deutsch
a interactive room picture has been developed.

I.L.V.O.
Visualization of a gigantic new logistics center for I.L.V.O., a joint
venture of the Austrian Federal Railway and Gruppo Lucefin. The application
was presented as part of a virtual groundbreaking ceremony held in
conjunction with the premiere of an image video that was likewise
produced at the Futurelab. |

Visualization of the new exhibition building "Lentos"
made for the City of Linz.

MCE - Turbine
Visualization of a turbine with real-time simulation of currents.
|

Mobile-Workshop
The project "mobile workshop" is a networked CAVE world
that has been realized on the occasion of the celebration of "150
Years of Siemens".

Mühlkreisautobahn
Visualization of a living area next to a highway. The applications
allows to compare directly the acoustic situation before and after
planed noise control measurements.

Siemens-Hybrex
3D-extension of the HYBREX-Simulator by Siemens for Heavy Plate
Mills in a virtual environment and modification of the simulator
for the CAVE.

Sinus Objektbau
Walk-in visualization of a block of flats planed by the company
Sinus Objektbau.

Solar City
Visualization of a planed new district in order to give architects
a feedback and to inform potential inhabitants.

VAI-Training
Simulator
The simulator has been developed for the steel manufacturer Voest
Alpine Industrieanlagenbau. It is used for training on continuous
casting plants and for promotion purposes.

Via Donau
The CAVE application visualizes an inland waterway craft. This application
was part of an image campaign for a company named Via Donau.
|

Virtual Heavy
Plate Mill
The visualization shows a heavy plate mill from any thinkable perspective.
The application developed for the Voest Alpine Industrianalgenbau
presents the mill within the context of the surrounding.

Wittman
A digital double of a robot unit for the robot manufacturer WITTMAN.
Their innovative programming device has been visualized in shape
of a virtual menu control in the CAVE.
