 different marketing on different continents... aphex was recently featured
for an hour on late nite music video tv here. much more accessable than
getting a cdrom from the net.

so is acceptance by popular culture is a measure of succcessful art work?
in that case is the reverse true -if  "funniest home videos" and "wildest
police chases"  are some of the most popular shows on tv they must have
some valuable content that has alluded me till now -oh thats right. they
are cures for artistic angst...

is that then the same for scientific work, eg marketing the icelandic
genome data base to make it acceptable to the general public makes it
valuable and necesssary scientific practice?
