Dear Lorenzo, In one of previous posts you wrote: "Is there anything more monstrous than dying of cancer? or Ebola?" Putting it together with this post, you actually suggests that nature is more monstrous than Society. My view is exactly opposite. I agree with you lubica. it is a strong personal fate if someone is dying of cancer. it is clear that there is something wrong with nature with the programming process of the cells. Life in the nature has cyclical form - birth, aging, disease and death are unevitable part of it. yes it always appears driven by instinct and it is violent Torture and death for a sake of "scientific" curiosity is neither natural nor inevitable. but there is nothing like planned and constructed violence Immortality is a false cause for mankind. yes indeed, alcor the venturist or the extropians lie all their hope on gene technology to stay on this or other planets forever b.richard --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to the English language version of LIFESCIENCE To unsubscribe the English language version send mail to lifescience-en-request@aec.at (message text 'unsubscribe') Send contributions to lifescience@aec.at --------------------------------------------------------------------------
