Corps et Graphie
Dancing Dolls

1997

Marie-Hélène Tramus (FR)

A lonely creature—the unadorned model of an animated figure—turns its pirouettes on the monitor, dances gracefully, and delicately stretches.

With a click of the mouse on the dancer's body, a second body grows out of the first one. A few mouse-clicks later, a fantastic ensemble of intertwining figures is turning beautifully rounded, perfectly contoured movements—an almost plant-like, organic interlacing of digital models, and a digital ballet far beyond the physical capabilities of even the greatest dancers and artists.
