ars electronica 86
im Rahmen des Internationalen Brucknerfestes Linz / Part 1
In 1986, Ars Electronica was re-designed. Up to then, the Festival had taken place every second September as part of the International Bruckner Festival; from 1986 onwards, it has been held annually. In 1986, Ars Electronica was organized as a festival on its own in June. Rearrangements were made for the Brucknerhaus Linz and the Regional Studio of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF in Upper Austria as far as their cooperation in the Festival's organization was concerned. As for contents, the Brucknerhaus shifted its focus towards avant-garde, whereas the ORF concentrated on computer culture.
