HONORARY MENTION
Subject
Miroslav Stuchlík, Radim Vrška

From the beginning the final appearance of graphics is almost exactly known. We have proved that consistent and well-thought-out preparation saves time spent working on a computer. Preparation is affected by choice of software and technological progress (e.g. a pixel-, vector graphics or their combination, 2D or 3D, extent of colour, assembly technique, photorealism, etc.). The final phase of the preparation includes classic transformation techniques of a line art or halftone (black & white or color) model through a scanner or digitizer into a computer. Together we make the actual implementation and graphics adjusting on a computer. When finishing the real appearance, we obviously use the computer possibilities to facilitate quick testing of different variations of the processing. For the sake of interest - when processing complex works, it often occurs that the operation needs to be processed with such an effect, for which a working process is not yet published. For the final effect it is necessary to create a semifinished product by means of a program of an entirely different category or create a completely new function by using a combination of available functions.
