With the project fischtraum:(a, a dream has come true in the form of a simple video file. The computer-generated scenes are a far cry from realistic, but serve their purpose. They depict scenes from a dream world that - for anyone who has ever had a dream - should be both familiar and strange.
My grandmother asked me what I'd wanted to say with the film but I couldn't answer her. Though everyone who sees it should be able to identify with it and experience a dream while they're awake. A kind of dream logic should become apparent, one that connects the strange events. Though in dreams things often happen that would be totally incomprehensible in real life, though they seem natural in a dream.
I made the 3D models and animations with a program that is easy to use - called Anim8or. You can't produce photorealistic images with it, but you can use it to implement your ideas quickly.
The idea for fischtraum:(a came to me suddenly - when my sister told me about one of her dreams.
