Eric Siu (HK)
Eric Siu is a Hong Kong new media artist based in Tokyo. He received an MFA from the Design Media Arts Department at UCLA in 2010. Before that, he was awarded by the Asian Cultural Council for a one-year exchange project in the United States. Eric’s works have been shown in MOCA Taipei, ZKM, FILE, Transmediale, EMAF, WRO, SIGGRAPH Asia, ISEA, Microwave, and so on. His work Touchy received the first prize from the WRO 2013 International Media Art Biennale.

Kathleen McDermott (US/HK)
Kathleen McDermott is an American-born artist with a background in traditional sculpture practices. After working as a sculptor for several years in New York, Kathleen moved to Hong Kong to pursue an MFA at City University of Hong Kong. There, she fell in love with new media technologies and has since been combining her knowledge of sculpture and technology to create unique, interactive artworks. She recently created www.UrbanArmor.org, a website on which she documents and shares designs for wearable devices investigating the relationship between female pedestrians and public space.

Kelly Snook (UK)
Kelly Snook is a researcher, engineer, musician, and maker based in London but transplanted from the US, where she spent nearly two decades as a NASA researcher. After leaving NASA, she worked for several years as Imogen Heap’s musical assistant, and now freelances as an independent data sonification researcher and music producer at her recording studio, It’s Not Rocket Science Studios. She holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.

Syed Ahmed (PK)
Syed Ahmed is the Co-founder and CTO of gradberry.com. An effective communicator with exceptional problem solving skills, Re-engineering and Project management, he started out gradberry.com with 200$ back in 2012 which has now become one of the leading on-line courses and careers portals in the Middle East and continues to expand its reach globally. He believes in giving back to community and sharing what he’s learnt with young entrepreneurs who are looking to create a social impact.

Daniel Dobos (DE)
Daniel Dobos is a particle physicist at the ATLAS experiment at CERN. He develops, integrates and operates silicon and diamond detectors to study collisions at the Large Hadron Collider as close as possible. He hunts for best spatial and time resolution, big and fast data transmission, minimal material usage and intercultural teamwork. In his spare time he co-founded The Port association combining creative minds from CERN and non-profit organisations in interdisciplinary teams to work on humanitarian technology related benefits to society.
