The Ars Electronica Festival 2017 will be held September 7-11, 2017 (from Thursday to Monday) in Linz (Austria). The festival venues are located right downtown, just a few minutes’ walk or a few streetcar stops from each other.

Situated amidst the main train station’s yard, the POSTCITY, a 80,000-m2 facility that used to be the postal service’s letter & parcel distribution center will again serve as the main festival venue.
Parts of the POSTCITY are also opened in the evening: On THU Sept. 7, 2017, beginning at 9 PM as part of the Ars Electronica Opening, as part of the POSTCITY Nightline on FRI Sept. 8, 2017, beginning at 9 PM and as part of the Big Concert Night on SUN Sept. 10, 2017, beginning at 7:30 PM. The info desk and artist desk, the ticket office, the press desk and the WE GUIDE YOU meeting point of the 2017 Ars Electronica are located in the POSTCITY.
The Ars Electronica Center situated on the north bank of the Danube is hosting multiple exhibitions. One highlight is Deep Space 8K featuring twin 16-by-9-meter projection surfaces on its wall and floor.

Additionally, the Deep Space 8K at the Ars Electronica Center is accessible on FRI September 8 until 11 PM.
At OK in the OÖ Kulturquartier, the Prix Ars Electronica occupies the focal point of attention throughout the festival. This is the site of the big CyberArts exhibition, and the place to go to encounter Golden Nica prizewinners, who’ll be discussing their work at Prix Forum events here.

Almost traditionally Ars Electronica Festival and cooperation partner Ö1 stage the Mobile Ö1 Atelier. The living cooperation with Austria’s cultural public-radio broadcasting station is once again located at the entrance to the festival’s main quarter, POSTCITY.
