Grown up in social pressure-systems as a group, whose self-evidence appears essentially in the way, artists discharge a semi-public service in self-mission. In the meanwhile free space for a generous, not embodied, "unanchored" working-practice (1) is granted in an edge-hike between appreciation and boycott. All are facets of a mental genetic explosion on the tremendous journey into the creative knock out.

To stay in a motion that is not occupied by social fatalism we uphold and maintain an appropriate radius and develop it—that declares the RELATIVE FREE SPACE. The work of STADTWERKSTATT is an expression of its comprehensive function as action bearer in the cultural Cinzano of society.

In the house Urfahrer Friedhofstraße 6, STADTWERKSTATT created a self-employed structure, an independent local and international action field. Since 1979 STADTWERKSTATT acts between political and aesthetic spaces. Realization of numerous performances (about 600) in the most various artistic fields.
