Claus, Jürgen – born 1935 in Berlin, studies of theatrical arts, philosophy, history of art in Marburg and Munich 1954–60. Since the sixties artistic concern with: environmental art, expanded art, ocean art. Realizations in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, in the Caribbean. 1972 artist-in-residence in Aspen/Colorado. 1983 Fellow at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, MIT, Cambridge, Mass. He organized the exhibition "Art and Technology" at the Ministry of Research and Technology in the FRIG.

Baumann, Horst H. – born 1934 in Aachen, studies at Aachen University of Technology. In 1972, first cybernetic laser-environment for the exhibition "Szene Rhein–Ruhr". Later own "Lascan" equipment for the production of laser-environments, which he presented in Kassel, Berlin, Baden-Baden, in the USA, England, etc., laser-design at the Linz Sound Cloud in 1985.

Berkhout, Rudi – born 1941 in Amsterdam, 1975 studies of holography at the New York School of Holography. 1977 founding member of Holographic Film Company. 1979 own holography lab. Various developments and inventions of his own.

Group "Blix" – Since 1983 active in the field of telecommunication. In 1985 development of the Kunst-Btx (Art-Videotex) that can be called regularly as a monthly magazine by Austrian Videotex subscribers. Kunst-Btx is edited by: Zelko Wiener, Robert Adrian X, Andrea Dee, Gottfried Distel. For the exhibition "TERMINAL ART" five artists have been invited to present their videotex work: Helmut Mark (1958; 1976–82 at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna); Peter Kogler (1959, Vienna); Gudrun Bielz (1954, works with video and computer); Ruth Schnell (1956, numerous coproductions with G. Bielz); Lisl Ponger (1947, films since 1979).

Cooper, Waltraud – born 1937 in Linz, studies of mathematics (1958–64 in Vienna and Paris) and of painting (1969–71 in Lisboa and Frankfurt). Since 1979, teaching assignment at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design, Linz. Dressler, Otto – born 1930, in Braubach/Rhein, since 1965 alienated objects, followed by artistic actions including audience reaction, e.g., in Bonn, Moscow, Vienna. "Interlacements" at the opening event of the exhibition "TERMINAL ART" in the Brucknerhaus.

Eisenbeis, Manfred – born 1934, Professor at the University of Design in Offenbach/ Main, where he organized the colloquium "Aesthetics and Technology" in 1978. Has been in charge of the working group Media Development/Media Research at that university since the early eighties, which is concerned mainly with the visual design of videotex. Exhibited also at "Art and Technology", Federal Ministry of Research and Technology, Bonn 1984.

Giovanotti Mondani Meccanici – group of Italian authors residing in Florence, known for their computer designed comics. They are: Andrea Zingoni (words), Marco Peoli (technical organization), Loretta Mugnani (scenic choreography), Maurizio Dami (music), Antonio Glessi (computer). They have worked together since 1984 and have shown their video-computer-comics at various festivals. At "TERMINAL ART" a tape with the following sequences is shown: "GMM contro Dracula", "La Avventure di Marionetti", "Cuore d'Osso", and others.
Jung, Dieter – born 1941 in Bad Wildungen, studies in Berlin since 1962 (theology, arts), followed by studies at the Academy of Film and Television 1971–73. 1977 studies of holography in the USA, 1985–86 Fellow at the MIT., Cambridge, Mass.

Kage, Manfred – born 1935 in Delitzsch near Leipzig, 1985 studies of painting and philosophy, since 1959 scientific photographer. Founded the Institute for Scientific Photography, since 1972 at Weißenstein Castle. After the polar-chromatic variations for which he became famous in the sixties, Kage has made outstanding electronic photographies of radiolaries, chips, etc. Intensive work on Video Science Art.

Karschulin, Othmar – born 1952 in Bayreuth/FRG, graduated from the University of Technology and Industrial Design works at the videotex agency "Leuro-Seminar" in Munich. Various presentations and exhibitions of videotex-graphics.

Kroy, Walter – born 1940 in Teplitz-Schbnau, studied physics and mathematics at the technological University Munich, graduated with 'doctorate' at the department of Prof. Heinz Maier-Leibnitz. Since then with the Aviation Company MBB in Ottobrunn near Munich. Heads the research department for applied physics, concerned with optical measuring technology, with physics of solids and semi-conductors, laser application in medicine. Active interest in holography. Participation in Ars Electronica 84.
Luther, Adolf – born 1912 in Krefeld where he lives today. 1939 studies of law, 1957 termination of his legal career. Since 1961 so-called dematerializations, 1963 smoke objects, 1970 laser objects, 1976 moon-project. 1983 draughts for the Wernher-von-Braun-Memorial. Numerous exhibitions and sculptures in public places.

Piene, Otto – born 1928 in Laasphe, Westphalia, studies in Munich, Dusseldorf, Cologne. Moved to the USA in 1965, where he lives in Groton near Boston. 1968 Fellow at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, where in 1974 he takes over from his predecessor Gyorgy Kepes as its director. Since 1981 a series of international Sky Art Conferences.

Red Error (Martin Drexler—Michael Nader) Drexler was born in Leoben (Styria) in 1956, since 1978 at the Academy of Applied Arts, Vienna (1981 class of Peter Weibel); Nader born in Retz (Lower Austria) in 1957, has worked with computers professionally and privately since 1979; 1984 joint works of computer graphics, 1985 foundation of Red Error. They exhibited their works at "Computer Art and Computer Culture", Forum Alpbach 1985.
Gruppe Duplikat Ruth Schnell and Gudrun Bielz have worked together since 1983 under the name "Gruppe Duplikat".
Schnell, Ruth – born 1956 in Feldkirch, Austria, studied in Innsbruck from 1976, then at the University of Design in Linz 1977–81 and since 1981 at Weibel's postgraduate class at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts.
Bielz, Gudrun – born 1954 in Linz, studied in Linz from 1977–1980, was in England as a member of the London Filmmakers' Coop., studies at Oberhuber's postgraduate class in Vienna. They have presented videos and installations at various exhibitions.
Schweitzer, Dan – born 1964, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. 1976 codirector at the New York School of Holography. 1977 together with Sam Moree founding of the New York Holographics Laboratories. Lives in New York.

Vogel, Peter – born in Freiburg/Breisgau, FRG, where he is still living today. Between 1957 and 1964 he studied physics, between 1965 and 1975: active in industry research. 1963 –65: movement and score paintings, followed by dance and choreography studies. 1966–70: composition of electronic music. Vogel started in 1968 to study physiological and neuro-physiological cybernetic models. In 1969 he built his first cybernetic objects.
