Takeover Symposium

Which constellations, what factors are determining the art of tomorrow, where it will happen, who will be doing it and with whom? Ars Electronica 2001 will focus on the protagonists and projects of this new creative burst of artistic activity that is increasingly to be found beyond the confines of the conventional art establishment. Prototypical advocates having their say in this debate, aside from theoreticians and scholars, will be, above all, artists and creative individuals themselves. The aim of the symposium and the conferences is to sound the depths of the constellations and framework conditions of the art of tomorrow and to initiate and further an open discourse.
