A series of speeches, discussions and conversations (in a variety of different formats) with participating artists highlights this encounter with the Festival's theme. The first two days are dedicated to a rather theoretical considerations; beginning on Tuesday, the presentation of artistic ideas and projects moves to the top of the agenda. Protagonists of a process-based and software-based mode of artistic practice present their work and discuss how they utilize and deal with software. Key topics will include the role of industry standards, the emergence of artistic trends as a consequence of programm features, efforts to achieve artistic autonomy, and the aesthetics of codes. Who possesses the codes; who determines them? Who makes the rules of the game and who violates them? With simulataneous German-English / English-German translation
