The two performers are connected to the instruments electronic network. They can produce sound by approaching each other and further, by establishing any form of physical contact like touching, hitting, kissing, etc. The sound that they produce also runs through their bodies in form of electricity, thus it causes a rather painful experience. It is the simple personal interaction we all long for, despite the possibility of getting hurt.

Paul Granjon is a visual artist working with electronics, robotics, video and programming. His subject matter is the co-evolution of humans and machines. He applies a playful, hands-on approach to the production of machines for videos, installations and performances, often presenting the work in a humorous fashion, combined with an underlying darker vision. He questions and comments on the effects of exposure to an exponentially growing and more capable technological environment.

The performance is cancelled due to illness. Ars Electronica wishes the artist a speedy recovery, and apologize for any inconvenience.
In the construction of musical instruments as well as the human voice itself, the term “voicings” refers to the process of manipulating the mechanics of an individual note in order to change or refine the timbre or volume of that note.
