Die Mitglieder von LICHTFAKTOR nützen das Licht, um ihrer Kreativität Ausdruck zu verleihen. Sie erzeugen mittels diverser Lichtquellen Fotos und Videos in nächtlichen Städten. Das Kölner Künstlerkollektiv experimentiert mit den Möglichkeiten, die sich aus Langzeitbelichtung und Malerei ergeben. Ihr Ziel ist es, die Möglichkeiten des „Lightwriting“ auszureizen und weiter zu entwickeln. Die LICHTFAKTOR Crew nutzt bewusst den gesamten Linzer Stadtraum als Bühne und Arbeitsfeld und bindet diesen in ihre Fotos bzw. Animationen so ein, dass dieser nicht nur Kulisse, sondern ein Teil ihrer Arbeit ist.

The members of LICHTFAKTOR use light to give expression to their creativity. They take advantage of a variety of light sources to produce photos and videos in cities by night. The Cologne artists’ collective experiments with the possibilities yielded by bulb (long-term) exposure and painting. Their aim is to explore all aspects of “lightwriting” and to develop it further. The LICHTFAKTOR crew intentionally uses the entire urban space of the City of Linz as a stage and production area, and integrates it into their photos and animated films in such a way that it’s not just a backdrop but a part of the work itself.
