Prospective entrants still have until March 19 to submit their creative projects to Prix Ars Electronica, one of the world’s most renowned prizes for media art.

A Golden Nica grand prize, two Awards of Distinction and Honorary Mentions will be awarded in each of five categories: Computer Animation/Film/VFX, Interactive Art, Digital Musics, Hybrid Art and Digital Communities. The 2008 Media.Art.Research Theory Prize will honor an outstanding scholarly work on the subject of interactive artforms as chosen by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute Media.Art.Research.

Austrian young people (up to age 19) have until April 7 to submit their projects to Austria's largest computer competition for youngsters. You can give free rein to your creativity; the only condition is that the computer has to play some kind of role in implementing your work.

Prize money totaling 115,000 euros will go to this year's Prix Ars Electronica winners.
