Ukawa Naohiro (JP)

A multi-talented artist Ukawa Naohiro founded the live streaming channel DOMMUNE on March 1, 2010. “Commune and the next step” is the motto. With The Final Media DOMMUNE he has created something like a commune in the digital age. As a mixture of live talk show and club night, DOMMUNE has been broadcast via livestream from a little studio in Shibuya, Tokyo on weeknights from 19:00 to 24:00 since March 2010. The studio, with attached bar and dance floor, accommodates a maximum of 50 people; at the same time, an infinite number of other guests around the world can join the event from their homes, in trains and even from behind their desks via the website www.dommune.com. With the microblogging site Twitter, remote viewers can send in their thought and comments live. It is an interactive project where people at different places share in a party with the same music at the same time.
