The integrated approach to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (known as STEAM) is becoming increasingly important. Problem-solving skills enabling us to discover unexpected connections receive higher esteem now. Traditional models of knowledge are being replaced by networked models of learning. The new results of effective cooperation between creation, cognition and innovation are finding their way into our everyday life and open new opportunities for mathematics in the school as well.
