Amagatana
“Amagatana” (the name means “rainy sword” in Japanese) is an example of Ubiquitous Content that is a mystical sword for enjoying the blithe feeling after the rain. “Amagatana” seems to be just a plastic umbrella. However, it makes a sound of swords clashing in response to the player’s swing. “Amagatana” also gives us the consciousness “What is your reality is not everybody's reality”. The project is granted by CREST, JST.

CUBE
Where you are. Where we are." The application of CUBE Bits of Moments is an artwork which involves everyone visiting Linz during the Ars Electronica Festival, including you in front of this artwork, making them ultimately a participant, conscious or unconscious, of this artwork. Four drawings on the wall and the table in this room each illustrate the flow of people visiting Ars Electronica Festival. A sensor installed at the entrances of four exhibition sites (Pfarrplatz, Ars Electronica Center, Marienstraße 7 and 10) sends information to express real-time presences of visitors also at Pixelspaces.

Post-Bits
Modeled after paper Post-Its, Post-Bits combine the affordances of physical tiny sticky memos and the digital handling of visual information. Post-Bits function as a kind of physical augmented reality interface, enabling people to arrange multimedia content in embodied physical spaces. Tangible properties of paper such as flipping, flexing, scattering and rubbing are mapped to controlling or perceiving aspects of the multimedia content such as scrubbing, sorting, or up- or down-loading dynamic media (video, graphics, dynamic text).

Think
Think encourages meetings between people with ideas and thoughts in public environments. The installation is spread over a variety of locations, including an online web site and onfield tables feeding back to a central visualization of the shared content. By sharing thoughts through different interfaces, Think reaches both event participants and the general public. Thus, it links the event and its forum in time and space with other communities. As the festival proceeds, the wall evolves to an interactive representation of the collective mind and reflects visitor’s reactions against their experiences.
