This year, the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences will be a full-fledged festival collaborator. Faculty and students will be delivering their response to the 2008 theme – “A New Cultural Economy – The Limits of Intellectual Property” – as well as their take on some revolutionary song lyrics by Pink Floyd.
The Media Technology Program at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences’ Department of Media Production is represented by an independent team of artists fully integrated in this year's festival context. In “we guide you,” the festival’s mediation program, students will be assembling background information, interviews, additional text and image fragments, and their own personalized chains of association and making these glimpses and insights available to festivalgoers online as “mere” building blocks, As such, they can in turn be processed further by other users all over the world.
