Joining a tour group doesn’t turn you on? For do-it-yourselfers, we’re making available á la Open Source a basic package that you can/should expand and customize in accordance with your own personal needs and expectations. And to enable the whole festival community to profit from your efforts, we’re setting up a platform to which you can post impressions of all sorts, route descriptions and individual approaches to the festival program.

entrée - A two-hour quickie tour of the Ars Electronica Festival

The quickie tour of the festival showcases projects and locations that provide very clear, graphic and tangible approaches to the theme and that concentrate on substantive issues having to do with collective knowledge, property and collective production.

plat du jour - A relaxed half-day excursion through the Ars Electronica Festival

This half-day outing spans the Festival’s entire thematic arc and also delivers tips about nice stuff to do before, after or even during your round-trip tour.

menu de luxe - An intensive full-day encounter with culture and high-tech at the Ars Electronica Festival

The intensive full-day encounter with culture and high-tech at Ars Electronica traverses the festival’s entire substantive spectrum, provides tips about highlights each day, and there are lots of really fascinating sidelights to spice up the mix. To do this tour, you’ll need a goodly portion of staying power and lots of time!

In a cozy twilight atmosphere, surf stations provide internet access, cushions let you snuggle up and get comfy, and bulletin boards, etc. offer space to leave personal messages for others and make suggested routes through the Festival grounds available to all.

A new cultural dreambox

Festival impressions, highlights, rants and outbursts of emotion, tips, unfulfilled expectations, bummers or epiphanies ... whatever you’d like to communicate to the festival community, the videobox is your mouthpiece. Screens set up around the festival grounds will be displaying these statements made by you and your fellow festivalgoers.
