A series of openings will highlight Day 1 of the Ars Electronica Festival. Whoever wants to benefit from expert commentary along the way through the POSTCITY should definitely join the Opening Tour led by Ars Electronica Artistic Director Gerfried Stocker. The parcours sets out on THU September 8, 2016, at 1:30 PM, (Welcome Area) and takes you to POSTCITYs major exhibition “Alchemists of Our Time” and its Artist Labs, which deal with hot topics suchs as robotics, fashion design and biotechnology. The journey continues through the 2016 STARTS Prize exhibition with its innovative projects at the interface of art, technology and science. After the POSTCITY Gallery with it artistic speculation around future materials and their properties, the tour takes you into the u19 – CREATE YOUR WORLD.
