Conservation of Intimacy
Two people sitting and rocking on a wooden bench cause small blasts of air in an adjacent space. The resulting turbulence causes balls in the space to swirl about.
Meanwhile, their movements are being recorded on trace paper like a seismograph. The paper roll, in turn, is advanced by a third person pedaling a stationary bicycle. The interactive arrangement consists solely of wood, a steel stylus and pneumatic tubes. The sequence of events proceeds slowly and functions best when the couple on the swing moves in unison at a leisurely pace.
