Lentos, Brucknerhaus, Donaupark

Perfect Strangers

For the fifth straight year, one of the Festival’s highlights will be a concert evening providing fascinating insights into contemporary music ranging from orchestral productions to live electronics and audio-visual performances.

Ars Electronica’s very successful collaboration with the Bruckner Orchestra featuring piano soloist Maki Namekawa will continue in 2007. This concert evening’s timeline will arc from the 1970s to the present and range stylistically from compositions by Luigi Nono (1924–1990) to exuberant experimental works by Frank Zappa (1940–1993). What they all have in common is their striving to create new sounds, rhythms and visualization possibilities.
