Die vierte Ausgabe der Symposiumsreihe Expanded Animation trägt, anknüpfend an das diesjährige Festivalthema RADICAL ATOMS and the alchemists of our time, den Titel The Alchemy of Animation und rückt erneut die Randgebiete in der Computeranimation sowie die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Animation und Technologie in den Fokus. Zentrale Themen dieses Jahr sind Wissenschaft, Gesellschaft und Industrie, die in drei Panels aus unterschiedlichen Blickrichtungen diskutiert werden. Zu den diesjährigen DiskussionsteilnehmerInnen zählen AnimationsfilmemacherInnen, KuratorenInnen, WissenschaftlerInnen, VFX-Artists sowie Prix Ars Electronica Gewinner in der Kategorie Computer Animation/Film/VFX.
Expanded Animation ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Fachhochschule Hagenberg, Ars Electronica Festival und Central Linz.
