Robots in Architecture was founded in 2010 by Sigrid Brell-Cokcan and Johannes Braumann with the goal of making industrial robots accessible for the creative industry. In collaboration with the new Chair for Individualized Production at RWTH Aachen, the Robot-Lab at the University for Arts and Design Linz, and robot manufacturer KUKA, new ideas and approaches towards integrating innovative robotic processes in the creative industry will be presented at the festival. KUKA will also showcase the new sensitive lightweight robot iiwa, whose intelligent drive system and compliancy enables entirely new, safe ways for human-robot interaction.
