WE GUIDE YOU
Join us on a tour of Linz’s newest neighborhood, PostCity. Besides sightseeing, we’ll be facing some highly topical issues at the nexus of art, technology and society. These group encounters with works by some truly fascinating artists and thinkers are designed to bring forth many and varied perspectives from which to consider the 2015 Ars Electronica Festival theme: POST CITY – Habitats for the 21st Century. So, what will the city of the future be like? And what about our global coexistence when, in 2050, approximately 80% of the world’s population are city dwellers? How will everyday life function under these circumstances? What visions of future mobility, future work, future citizens and future resiliency are emerging right now?
Every holder of a Festival Pass or One-Day Pass is entitled to one tour at no extra charge.
Multiple Tours in One Day: The tour schedule is structured to enable festivalgoers to conveniently take tours of PostCity, the Ars Electronica Center and Cyberarts in the OK in a single day. Our recommendations for between-tour intervals: a stop at the Ö1 Tent on Hauptplatz (Main Square) and in CENTRAL where the Ars Electronica Animation Festival is being screened.
